Actor / Writer / Director

Jonathan Redding joined the Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble with the cast of David Bridel's critically acclaimed Il Gelosi, and has since worked on and offstage for the Ensemble in a variety of capacities.  Most recently Jonathan played Sgt. Hal Taylor in Survived: The War Cycle Part II and directed the Ensemble's first classical production, William Shakespeare's Macbeth.  In addition to being a member of the Ensemble Corps, Jonathan is one of the creators of the Shakespeare on the Deck Project, launching in July 2010; and the Director of Development for the company.  Favorite past roles include Gloucester in Richard III, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Iago in Othello, and Hamm in Endgame.  Jonathan is a graduate of West Virginia University's Studio Acting Program.
